Easytech blog

One of our latest projects here in Easytech was done using PHP as our programming language and Oracle as our Database. We had a lot of experience coding in PHP and developing with the Oracle Database but none using both together. The project turned out to be a great one but there isn’t a lot of information on the web since most PHP applications use MySQL or PostgreSQL as their database. Today I was looking at what blogs where available on the Oracle site and came across Christopher Cross’s blog which has a lot of interesting information for PHP developers. In it I found links to two interesting presentations: “Leveraging the Power of Oracle with PHP: Taking Advantage of the Database” and ” PHP and Performance” and a link to a book called “The Underground PHP and Oracle Manual” written by Christopher himself and Alison Holloway which covers PHP and Oracle development. Para poder dar de alta entradas en el blog en castellano e inglés instalamos un plugin en el Wordpress. Para hacer el posting en dos idiomas hay que comenzarlo con [ jLanguage default="english"] (sin espacio entre el [ y el jLanguage) y después se escribe el posting en cada idioma encerrándolo entre [spanish] … [/spanish] para español y [english] … [/english] para inglés. La idea es que si lo que se escribe es privado para nosotros se ponga en castellano mientras que si el posing es público entonces de mínima tiene que estar en inglés pero idealmente en los dos idiomas.

This is the first post on our brand new blog at Easytech. The idea is that everyone here at Easytech can comment on topics that we find interesting (and hopefully others will too). This includes articles, news and comments on Open Source projects, Linux, new Oracle products or updates, new projects at Easytech and any other piece of information we find interesting and would like to share with other people at Easytech and the rest of the world.
